Cloth Farming Guide:
Linen
Wool
Silk
Mageweave
Runecloth

Silk is one of my favorite things to grind. Not sure why exactly; maybe because I like silk in real life as compared to linen or wool (and I have no clue what mageweave, runecloth, or netherweave would be comparable to). Or perhaps it’s because I go to Scarlet Monastery for all my farming needs, which happens to be an instance I enjoy demolishing with my level 70 rogue. SM is also an excellent place to go for picking up green/blue items and other various goodies which can be sold for somewhat decent gold. For me, the additional loot is an incentive that helps ease the repetitive grind and makes the overall process more fun.

There’s also Durnholde Keep, which supposedly has a high silk drop rate without the headache of fighting elites. Check it out if you’re a low level character who’s not quite ready for the big leagues.

Alliance & Horde

1) Everyone in Scarlet Monastery, Tirisfal Glades
I’ve been averaging 11-13 stacks an hour by clearing out all four sections.

2) Everyone in Durnholde Keep, Hillsbrad Foothills
I haven’t tried this area since SM is the way to go, imho, but supposedly this place has a decent drop rate.
