The Musings is a simple mother and son inspired website. We wanted a place where we could express ourselves in writing, but not feel limited to any one subject. As such, we’re all over the board in terms of topics covered. This may change in the future if either of us discovers his/her niche, but for now, we’re content on delivering a smorgasbord of quality content to the masses.

Now, the actual name came from Susie Q while we were bouncing around potential titles and ideas for the website. themusings stuck because we felt it embodied what we wanted our website to be about. If you look up ‘musing’ in a dictionary it will say something like “to become absorbed in thought.” That’s exactly what happens when we sit down to write - the world disappears and all that remains is a blank page and an idea that needs to be expressed in words.

Thus, as the name implies, The Musings was born.

By now, you’ve probably noticed that we haven’t given out too much information about our personal lives (real names, addresses, social security numbers, etc.) and that’s because we’re not comfortable exposing everything about us. If this becomes an issue and you, our dear reader, can’t trust us due to lack of personal information, let one of us know and Susie Q and I will discuss our options.
